As<br \/>\na consequence, decentralized mechanisms are also required to<br \/>\nensure security in such architectures. Decentralized Information<br \/>\nFlow Control (DIFC) is a mechanism to control information<br \/>\nflow in distributed systems. However, DIFC mechanisms require<br \/>\nthe resolution of specific centralized control and trust issues. In<br \/>\nthis paper, we propose an adaptive, trust-aware, decentralized<br \/>\ninformation flow approach that incorporates trust in DIFC for<br \/>\ndecentralized systems. We employ decentralized feedback loops<br \/>\nto enable decentralized control and adaptive trust assignments.<br \/>\nIn our approach, adaptivity mitigates two aspects of systems<br \/>\ndynamics that cause uncertainty: the ever-changing nature of<br \/>\ntrust and the system openness. We formalize our trust-aware<br \/>\nDIFC model and instantiate two decentralized feedback loop<br \/>\narchitectures to implement it.
