{"id":2628,"date":"2022-09-29T07:34:57","date_gmt":"2022-09-29T06:34:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogg.lnu.se\/unesco\/?p=2628"},"modified":"2022-09-30T13:28:24","modified_gmt":"2022-09-30T12:28:24","slug":"various-activities-july-september-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogg.lnu.se\/unesco\/?p=2628","title":{"rendered":"Various activities July \u2013 September 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cornelius Holtorf was invited to present in a Plenary on Wars, Conflicts, Crises, and Archaeologies at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wac-9.org\/\"><em>World Archaeological Congress<\/em> 9<\/a> in Prague, Czech Republic, on the question &#8220;How can world archaeological heritage contribute to a better future for all?&#8221; (5 July 2022).<\/p>\n<p>During the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wac-9.org\/\"><em>World Archaeological Congress<\/em> 9<\/a> in Prague, Czech Republic, Cornelius Holtorf had meetings about future collaborations with Professor Valentina Figueroa Larre, Universidad Cat\u00f3lica del Norte, Chile<strong>, <\/strong>Professor Peter Stone, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/sacs\/people\/profile\/peterstone.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNESCO Chair in Cultural Property Protection and Peace<\/a> at Newcastle University, UK, and Dr Isber Sabrine, Director of the international NGO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritageforpeace.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Heritage for Peace<\/em><\/a> based in Girona, Spain (4-8 July 2022).<\/p>\n<p>Cornelius Holtorf was interviewed by Anne Bergmans of the University of Antwerp, Belgium, in the context of the research project &#8220;Include&#8221; commissioned by the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority on including (local) stakeholder participation in its regulatory mission (18 August 2022).<\/p>\n<div>Cornelius Holtorf and Anders H\u00f6gberg co-organised and co-chaired a session entitled &#8220;Archaeology as the Study of the Future&#8221; and co-presented two papers on &#8220;Archaeology and Cultural Heritage as Future-Making Practices in the Context of Climate Change (1)&#8221; and &#8220;&#8230;(2)&#8221; at the 28th Annual Meeting of the <em>European Association of Archaeologists<\/em> held at Budapest, Hungary (1 September 2022). The session was attended by ca. 40 colleagues and filled its room.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Cornelius Holtorf co-organised and co-chaired a roundtable\u00a0 on \u201cTelling Stories about Impacts of Academic Research in Archaeology in Society: Wider Lessons from the UK Research Excellence Framework Experience\u201d at the 28th Annual Meeting of the <em>European Association of Archaeologists <\/em>held at Budapest, Hungary (2 September 2022).<\/p>\n<p>Cornelius Holtorf attended a roundtable organized by the EAA Community for Climate Change and Heritage (CCH) held at the 28th Annual Meeting of the <em>European Association of Archaeologists <\/em>held at Budapest, Hungary (3 September 2022).<\/p>\n<p>Anders H\u00f6gberg gave a lecture on heritage futures and futures literacy for the incoming PhD students in the PhD programme on <em>Global Humanities<\/em> at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Linnaeus University (9 September 2022).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"column\">\n<div class=\"kvgmc6g5 cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q\">Cornelius Holtorf spoke on the occasion of a Memorial Symposium celebrating the work and life of Professor David Lowenthal on the topic &#8220;The past \u2013 what\u2019s new?&#8221; More than 30 colleagues attended at the event held at the Royal Geographical Society in London, UK (16 September 2022)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Cornelius Holtorf took part in his first meeting as member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/web.rgzm.de\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">R\u00f6misch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum &#8212;<\/a> Leibniz-Research Institute for Archaeology<\/em>, Mainz (22-24 September 2022).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cornelius Holtorf was invited to present in a Plenary on Wars, Conflicts, Crises, and Archaeologies at the World Archaeological Congress 9 in Prague, Czech Republic, on the question &#8220;How can world archaeological heritage contribute to a better future for all?&#8221; (5 July 2022).
