They inspire throughout the park to a variety of references to the distant past and future:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cTime immemorial\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cAmbassadors from another time\u201d, (&#8230;) \u201ccan you imagine dinosaurs rubbing elbows against the ancient redwoods\u2019 ancestors?\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cRelics of the Past\u201d, \u201cIn a sense, this redwood forest is a window to the past\u2014a place to glimpse a distant world that existed long ago.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cThese towering survivors will grace this land for centuries to come\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Park \u201cprotects a story that will continue unfolding far into the future!\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cThe enduring splendor of these magnificent trees&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cWhen you walk among the redwoods, time seems to stand still. Like our own lives, though, this forest is constant changing.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cRedwoods, &nbsp;now and forever\u201d; \u201cin memory of Travis Brian Percival. My forever love\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cThe redwoods, once seen, create a vision that stays with you always\u2026\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cImmortal tree\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cEternal\u201d, \u201cever-living\u201d [the trees&#8217; botanical name is <em>Sequoia sempervirens<\/em>]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Having said all that, it is intriguing that each redwood&#8217;s enormous weight rests on the external layers of the trunk.
