{"id":4611,"date":"2026-04-17T10:30:02","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T09:30:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogg.lnu.se\/unesco\/?p=4611"},"modified":"2026-04-17T10:30:02","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T09:30:02","slug":"proposals-for-priorities-2027-30","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogg.lnu.se\/unesco\/?p=4611","title":{"rendered":"Proposals for priorities 2027-30"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I contributed to an online discussion with Swedish representatives of UNESCO-related activities as part of the consultation process in the context of developing a new strategy for the Swedish National UNESCO Commission 2027-2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every four years, a new strategy is created in the context of other documents, such as now the <a href=\"https:\/\/unesco.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Swedish-UNESCO-Strategy-2022-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Swedish government&#8217;s strategy for collaborating with UNESCO 2022-25<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco.org\/en\/articles\/medium-term-strategy-2022-2029-41-c\/4-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UNESCO&#8217;s own Medium-Term Strategy 2022-29<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I made the following concrete proposals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Swedish interests should also include the world&#8217;s needs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>strengthen global multilateralism<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>promote intergenerational fairness (EU Commissioner, UN Pact for the Future)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>shape the post-2030 agenda (cultural goal)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>strengthen a culture of peace<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>strengthen trust in societies (important role of culture)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>strengthen collaboration with (and among) UNESCO Chairs in Sweden<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I contributed to an online discussion with Swedish representatives of UNESCO-related activities as part of the consultation process in the context of developing a new strategy for the Swedish National UNESCO Commission 2027-2030.
