In his keynote lecture entitled <a href=\"https:\/\/prezi.com\/6ut76-1lip1b\/?token=268c2a9594bbe03074dc021f3a639a7f6e2e5179ffe522164506054411da4a8d&amp;utm_campaign=share&amp;utm_medium=copy\">Sustainable Futures for Heritage?<\/a>, Cornelius Holtorf argued that cultural heritage will have a future to the extent that it can contribute to sustainable societies. But what does that mean?<\/p>\n<p>Staffan Appelgren from the University of G\u00f6teborg gave one possible answer when he asked at the end of his lecture on re-use and the circular economy: \u201cwhy do museums have collections? Why do they not borrow things as needed?\u201d Other unusual ideas were explored in a <a href=\"http:\/\/lnu.diva-portal.org\/smash\/record.jsf?pid=diva2%3A1302987&amp;dswid=-9975\">time travel to the year 2070<\/a> that was organised by Kalmar County Museum and concluded the conference.
